Masterplan design guidelines & listed festival hall restoration.
MICA Architects (formerly Rick Mather Architects) is a well renowned firm in London and has been running since 1973.
My work there included the production of a set of Design Guidelines for a cultural redevelopment quarter in Croydon. This involved close liaison with the local council and planning consultants.
I also worked Fairfield Halls, the redevelopment’s catalyst, for which I worked on drawings and renderings for a major conservation project to restore features from the original 1962 building, while bringing it up to date.
Other work included design development work for additions to heritage listed sites at Keble College and Rhodes House at Oxford University, and construction and detail drawings for a “spine” of cantilevered canopies running the length of Lancaster University.
