Construction stage on a £150million mental health hospital in London.
I joined the Springfield Hospital project at C.F. Møller Architects during its construction stage, and was tasked with producing setting out principles, equipment schedules and dimensioned drawings for every internal elevation of the scheme’s two buildings.
This involved collaboration with the NHS Trust, engineers, mental health consultants, practitioners and pharmacists, amoung many others.
As a mental health hospital, it was vital that strict regulations were met in terms of specification and positioning, for many specific needs.
Over 1600 sheets of drawings were produced, with multiple revisions as changes were made to the project.
This task taught me the importance of precision and of clear systems and workstreams, particularly when working on a project of this size.
